On Quarkbeasts
So I recently finished the sequel to "The Last Dragonslayer," in which Jasper Fforde decided to dump a shitton of useful exposition and details that would have been really helpful to get in book one. I need to read it again and take notes, but in the meantime, I decided to try drawing a Quarkbeast so y'all could have some idea of what I'm seeing in my head. Please pardon the half-assed shading/shoddy photography/the fact that said picture does not adequately convey the teeth.
There's no real scale indicator, either, but the top of its shoulder-hump would probably hit a couple of inches below Jennifer's knee. They really aren't that big.
So, yes. Just picture that wearing little booties and an oversized puppy parka and we'll all be on the same page.
