Hey folks Ellis here with some semi-sad news. After some extensive thought I've decided I'm going to retire both Aziraphale and Bee. Everyone has been incredibly supportive of how I play both of them, which has really meant a lot, especially with regards to Bee since she is a goober from my own personal brain. But ultimately, while they are both beloved and integral to the game's infrastructure, I don't find myself wanting to start plots with them. They are like support cast at this point, both of them showing up as needed, and that's fine! Ultimately I don't think I'd be playing them any LESS than I do now, it's more a matter of calling a spade a spade.

For a while now it's really felt to me like I'm playing three characters plus two hangers-on, and that's how it's gonna remain. They'll both still be around, Aziraphale caring for Melanie and the entire post-rebel building, Bee tending her bees and roof garden. They are both involved in some currently active threads (Peter/Gabe, Lilly/Melanie, the TARDIS) and those threads will continue to happen as long as they need to! I'm not planning on leaving anyone in the lurch. And in future, if you need/want them for any thread you are very welcome to ask me and I will happily thread with you. Aziraphale's bookshop can still be a place that people go to/reference willy-nilly. Mainly I just want to put them on the mental shelf, so I can psych myself out less about giving equal time to all my children.

I have been considering retiring both of them on and off for a long time, and I'm finally doing it now in part because there might be a new character on the rise. Ooooh. Stay tuned???
