Introducing Mr. Tony Stark

Hi. I'm Mina. I'm going to attempt to play Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man) from the MCU/Avenger's (which, according to the box office, you have all seen. Twice. So that's good.) I'm a little nervous about finding Tony's voice, which you may not be able to tell from my nine page application but, a lot like Tony, I sometimes ramble when I'm nervous and it get stuck going on forever. Then sometimes I don't. Like right now. Where I'm definitely rambling, and yet have already managed to run out of things to say.

Don't worry. I'm actually better at writing than this message would imply. Hopefully.

Edit: Krissy told me to add my AIM (gildedxmuse) in case anyone wanted to get a hold of me or, possible, as some sort of trickery she's planning. Oh, she acts sweet and nice and friendly but don't trust her, guys. I've rped with her before. I've seen the piles of bodies she leaves in her wake.

Hmm, probably shouldn't have put that creepy bit there right after giving out my AIM. Well, let's just wait and see how that goes.

I would like to add to this my testimony that I've been RPing with Mina since 2006, and she's pretty amazing at writing, as long as vast amounts of words don't scare you. Also she's really nice and cooler even than George Stills.

Also let me apologise for any in-jokes. Including that one. But I'm not allowed to talk about any embarrassing stories, so in-jokes will have to do.

There was a Tony before? Ah, man, I didn't know that I had a past Tony to live up to. It... It'll be okay, right? I mean, my Tony is a hugely egotistical ass, like the kind of person who reaches legendary levels of narcissism and sees it as something of a victory. Confidence like that, we're totally gonna be okay.

On a more normal note, it's lovely to meet you Carry. Krissy reassured me that you're totally nice and not secretly an evil mastermind or anything so that was very reassuring. Also, you're a fan of Tamora Pierce so I figure that earns you lots of points. I haven't actually read The Immortal Quartet but through out middle school The Circle Of Magic series was just about my favorite thing ever. Most trouble I ever got into was skipping lunch in sixth grade and biking down to the Barnes & Noble to read the newest one. Sure, the school labeled me a delinquent and I probably aged my parents five years minimum, but as I recall it was well worth it.

The other one was only here very briefly at the beginning, so really, you're good to go. No previous shenanigans to live up to. ^_^

Woo, TP! I devoured pretty much anything Tortall-related when I was younger, and it's only in the past year or so that I've finally gotten my rear in gear and started reading the CoM books. I've finished the first four, so now it's onto the next! Also, you are awesome for playing hooky to go read a new book. The closest I ever got to playing hooky was being accused of skipping school by some random citizen because I had the audacity to walk around town on a school day while looking younger than I actually was.

That happened to me, too! Well, something close. I use to have to walk past my old high school to get to the coffee shop where I did most of my work. One day the cray old administrator was out there and yelled at me to get back to class, demanding I tell her where I was suppose to be. I had to pull out my college ID to prove I wasn't just skipping. I was like 23 at the time. *Sigh*

When I was 23, I got carded for trying to enter the Mall of America without a parent or guardian. They thought I was fifteen. I think that's my personal best.

When I was 25 and went to get a new passport, I had to bring my dad cause I had no identification, and the lady thought I was 17 and said I had to have both parents there to get a passport when you're under 18.

I'm 27 and some guy, after spending most the night hitting on me, asked if I wanted to go check out this bar with him and his friend before adding, "Oh, but they won't let you in. Well, I'm sure we can find somewhere that doesn't card."

Which got both a, "Really? You think I'm how old?" and a, "Wait, you were hitting on me and you thought I was how old?"

What the hell, people?

I played hooky all the time. I mean, maybe not in sixth grade, but in general. I mean I've spent a 2 hour class sleeping underneath my desk. *bad student*

Maybe we're just better people than you!

Well, maybe Carrie is just a better person than you! That could be true!

I was a goody two-shoes! At least in high school. And in college, let's be honest, but at least in college I could be like, "Um, I'm 'sick,'" without needing my parents or my doctor to back me up. :P

Well, hello there innocent looking plant, how - ohmygod, there is someone stalking me.

Also, I've already told Krissy but I'll go ahead and apologize in person to anyone who clicked through and for some reason felt the need to read my whole post and/or bio. I might have gotten a little carried away. From now on thing will be much more reasonable in length! I promise! Tony is just very talkative sometimes, and it doesn't help that I have a long, established history of writing lengthy introduction posts. Totally worried people would take one look and think, "Did someone accidentally post the first chapter of a fanfic? This is all wrong..." and back away slowly.

Although on a related note if Tony starts to get into one of his crazier moods the correct response IS backing away, but I'd add some hustle to it, you know? Don't want to be caught off guard with mad scientist Tony.

I may have looked at it last night and went "...I will read that tomorrow!" And then Krissy tagged in before I got to it because Saturday means sleeping in and ~~going gambling~~ totally not stopping at the casino on the way home from the farmer's market, nope.

I'm trying to think if my guys have the sense to back away in that situation, and surprisingly the answer is yes for all of them except Handrew. Though Aglet would probably run and hide regardless.

I'm not sure you can call it 'gambling' when you only do it to buy $1 pizza and end up winning more than you came in with.

I lost $2 this time. :(

Hey, magic is just tech that Tony hasn't mastered yet. He out scienced a Nordic God. A crazy God delusional enough to think gilded goat horned helmets are in or will ever be in fashion, but still, some weird ass cult considered him a God and Tony? Still better.
