Greetings, Adventureketeers You Beautiful Tropical Fish My Adorable Apple Dumplings! Carrie, here, on behalf of the Modly Hivemind.

So, I'm sure you're all aware that there is a whole heck of a lot going on in the game right now. Many of us are currently backdating up a storm, which is great! But because there's so much happening, it's been suggested that we put the calendar on 'pause' for a little while. That will give everyone a chance to finish their threads and catch up with the In-Game date, rather than continually backdate ad infinitum.

In addition to that, we're thinking of changing the game's date ratio from 3:1 to 4:1 - that is, four IRL days for every one day IG. That seems a bit more in keeping with the general pace we've established as a group. Should forward-dating become necessary (the novelty!), we'll allow it, no fuss.

The current plan is to freeze the date during our next dream party, currently scheduled for this Saturday, July 5th (IG date: July 3rd). Those of us not playing catch-up will have a nice, expansive dream party to goof around in for a while, so that should keep things interesting. And perhaps we'll come up with a fun Event for the 4th to kick things off again.

Here's what we'd like from you:

- Thoughts on how long the pause should last (in real time). A week? Two weeks? Let us know how much time you think you'll need to get your ducks in a row.

- Opinions on the ratio change. Are you on board with the idea? Any concerns? The Modly Hivemind is listening!

I am 100% pro-suspension and ratio change. I almost feel like an entire month would be a good solid block of time. That might be excessive? But I also feel like a week travels SO fast, especially when most of the group is working. Personally I don't feel like I have that much to catch up on, but there's certainly backdated things I could get around to if given the time.

Mostly I want to be sure everyone feels like they have enough time to deal with their stuff. What do other people think?

Haha, well it's more about everyone else than me. It sucks being the only person ahead! There's no one to play with!

...Which is not to sound like I think everyone else is so slow. I have freakish writing speeds and absoutely no life responsibilities. XD I'm all about what's best for the group.

Personally, I'd like at least two weeks to get caught up on everything, though that's just because I manage so few tags during working days. Also, I'm getting kicked by time zones when I'm already down. B( So yeah, three weeks or more would be great for me.

The 4:1 ratio also has TARDISal approval.

I'm all about this! 2 or more weeks would be good, since I'm not the fastest tagger to begin with and working almost-full-time tends to leave me pretty drained.

There's also a couple backdated-thread ideas that aren't too plot-essential I'd like to get going if we pause, like some Cecil and Dana interaction (let me know if/when you wanna do that, jazzy!) and like, Daine/Peeta/Dana sweetiepie coffee hangouts?

The ratio change also seems good to me *thumbs up*

I think at least two weeks, a month wouldn't even really be stretching it. Like... time passes really quickly? Also it's summertime so people might also be busy doing things maybe? *shrug*

If it does turn out that suddenly almost everyone's caught up to precent day and impatient for stuff to move again, we could start time again earlier. I'd rather do that than to make people feel rushed.

Also yes I think a 1:4 ratio would be good.

yes and yes. both changes are fine by me. Two weeks sounds like an okay amount of time, but a longer amount wouldn't bother me either.
