So, Faction Takedowns, Let's Talk About Em!

Hello, fritterlings. Here is the latest word on the faction takedowns.

On IG September 4th (technically now IRL, but we're going to backdate it a bit because inciting events are still happening and backdating is how we do, here), three things are going to happen.

Thing the first: Andrew, James & Co. are going to badger the Rift into letting them go home.
Thing the second: the Rift is going to throw an epic tantrum in response because hdu.
Thing the third: said tantrum will allow interested and motivated parties to go ahead and fork up ROMAC's ship, ultimately resulting in the faction's fall. SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS that joke goes out to Lu I'm here all week tip your waitress.

Sometime in the next week(ish), two open posts will go up. One will be for general Rift shenanigans (this can take whatever form players choose; pretty much anything goes), and one will be for forking up ROMAC. Players are free to throw their characters into whichever scenario they feel like getting involved in. It'll be a hot mess.

Several days after the dust settles in the Citigroup tower (aka a couple weeks down the line in real time), it'll be the Rebels' turn for some ruction. Daine is largely going to be leading the charge on this one, but again, all will be welcome to get involved to whatever degree they so choose (though it's going to be presumed that anyone living in the base will be relocated, because the base is not gonna be livable by the time Daine's done with it). An open post will go up, much like with the Rift shenanigans/ROMAC takedown business.

The goal is to say that by IG September 10th/11th, everything will have calmed down and anyone rendered homeless by the ruction will have been resettled elsewhere. For the sake of convenience, the buildings that currently serve as the Rebel and ROMAC apartments will continue to function as rifty housing. They'll just lose their faction-specific affiliations.

Questions? Concerns? Comments? I am hopped up on DayQuil and ready to field them ineptly.

Yeah, Daine's gonna be in on that. She and Seth can TEAM UP.

THEY CAN AND SHOULD.

I'm sort of still going on the assumption that Daine will call in Seth and be like "hey so we're storming the rebel base" and Seth will be like "sign me up", and they can work from there to figure out what to do? Obviously his priorities will be a) power-snatching and b) prisoner-freeing.

Yeah, I figure once Jay gets in touch with Daine, she'll call in Seth because she found out about him being caged up there somehow. So she'll be like 'what can you tell me about the layout, also you're cordially invited to wreck shit with me.'

HE'LL DRAW YOU A MAP. Seth will definitely have some basic knowledge of the layout - like I figure he's been sort of tempted to do this for a long time, just go in and grab some powers, and he'd look into information he could get his hands on, but not actually have the motivation to do something about it until now.

If I may butt in here it's REALLY IMPORTANT to me that Jay is principally involved with the actual act of getting Tim out, he won't care about wrecking anything or rescuing anyone else, that'll be their purview, but he's going to really need to be the one who goes and gets Tim. They have too much history (and let's not forget him getting captured is LARGELY HIS FAULT) for it to not be his mission in a way, or like sub-mission of the greater mission. He will obviously need all the help he can get, he is not compentent enough to actually find Tim without assistance, but him actively saving that asshole is going to be a crucial turning point in their relationship - we hope.

Well that works out cause Seth isn't really going to care about babysitting every individual prisoner?

Seth can like, bring Jay there and do most of the actual door unlocking type thing, and then Jay can go to find Tim's cell and get him out, while Seth gets on with his shit?
