Mun love time!

So I think all of us need a little self-esteem boost and motivation once in a while, and I've been wanting to do this for ages.

Step 1: Tag in with a list of you you play as. (And previous characters too if you want.)

Step 2: Also include one thing you like about yourself, because self-love is important and I greatly encourage it.

Step 3: Reply to other people with stuff you love about them.

This could be anything, personal or purely RP related. Maybe you really love how someone plays a character, or think they have great idea for plots, or had a really good time with a thread with them, or just think they're a really cool person. Say so!

Give each other some love!

I play Ianto and once upon a dream I played croach and for two seconds I played greg

I think I have great plot ideas but I never do them

oh look a top level WELL LEMME JUST REITERATE

I totally believe you have great plot ideas because it shows whenever you do. This is a really difficult hobby to maintain, it requires so much energy and effort, which I basically devote my entire days to because no life. It's so clearly important to you and a thing that you dig and are good at, I am glad you're still around even when it becomes difficult. Cause motivation will come back and then you can do the things! For a time! It's a cycle. Life, etc.

Just wanna say again we've only threaded a couple times but they were always enjoyable and I always really dig your style and tone, Ianto's coming-out-of-coma dream particularly jumps to mind as something that was just a fun read. Your post hooks are excellent! It's so hard to write an open to multiple post with a good hook but I see you do it again and again. So you are definitely a valuable presence here okay. Okay I'm done.

<3 Thank you. That means a lot to me. I feel like I thread so little and drop things so much that like... I don't know. Like I haven't earned a spot? I am a self-exile. And then I worry about commenting on open stuff because I'm like I dunno I dunno what if they already have something going on and I just get in the way and then I drop it anyway and I'm the worst. But this has inspired me. I think I'm gonna pitch some things in the ooc comm maybe. Other people being into things motivates me a lot more than me sitting at home going 'hm wouldn't it would be cool if this were a thing, yep it sure would, oh well'.

I understand that mentality so much, yeah, when I fall so out of the loop on creative projects I'm doing with like, college mates? Like there's a statute of limitations and they'll never take me seriously again? Ehhhh. This is also a cycle and it's really hard to break but heY LOOK TALKING ABOUT THINGS it's pretty neat I am a huge fan of talking about feelings

You should definitely pitch things! Ideas are great! Discussion is great. Do ittt

Ugh I was on such a roll with brbg for a while there. Modding there and doing rp parties made me really appreciate how hard it is to come up with something that draws people in. It made me better at like... stuff. Yeah. I WANT TO BE AROUND MORE. I want to dooooo stufffffff. I reminisce about brbg allllll the timeeeeee and then I get caught in spirals of nostalgia about how I used to do so much stuff and it makes me want to do things, but instead I just sort of flop around helplessly. And then I worry if Ianto's not as fun as he used to be? He's changed so much and sometimes I regret that and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh stuff and things

Can I just say how much I loved the way you played Croach? He was so great! You just nailed his voice so well, the Bens would be proud. And I loved his weird friendship with Sunshine so much.

Also, you're funny as hell. The ab workouts you have given me have led to ABS OF STEEL.

I MISS CROACH I just sort of drifted away from TAH during their hiatus and I feel bad for it. But I still love it, and Croach, and he's probably been busy, like, tunneling under Central Park building his own Martian tunnels to live in like a weirdo. Maybe he will emerge and go visit Sunshine. I loved their friendship. They were so cute. Mannnn.

For a second I was like 'what ab workouts did I recommend??? oh ohhhhhhhhhh.'

Seconding Carrie's comment about how you have a way with one-line zingers and creating general hilarity. I love the way you write your characters' internal monologues and I love how you are just an expert at creating a unique turn of phrase.

ETA: ALSO SECONDING ELLIS'S COMMENT ABOUT POST-HOOKS because it bears repeating. You're a most excellent writer and I hope we can thread sometime soon!

I TRY SO HARD. I don't know why I keep playing those characters that sit in the background for a bit and then pop out with something really funny and clever because then I HAVE TO WRITE THOSE FUNNY AND CLEVER THINGS. That has legitimately haunted me all the years I've played Ianto. Constant worry if I'm doing him justice and if there is something funnier he could've said and is he being witty enough. Oh god. ALSO THANK YOU. I really appreciate about the post-hooks. I feel like that's a pretty good representation of my current situation. I have good ideas and then I don't really go anywhere with them. BUT THE IDEAS ARE GOOD. I am gonna work on it. I am gonna do the things.

I, unfortunately, do not always have great plot ideas. But! What I do have is a knack (more often than not) of either helping kick off great plot ideas/working out kinks of said ideas/offering general cheerleading to ensure the plots take place. In case you ever want to chat, I'm always willing. :)
