So I think all of us need a little self-esteem boost and motivation once in a while, and I've been wanting to do this for ages.


Step 1: Tag in with a list of you you play as. (And previous characters too if you want.)

Step 2: Also include one thing you like about yourself, because self-love is important and I greatly encourage it.

Step 3: Reply to other people with stuff you love about them.

This could be anything, personal or purely RP related. Maybe you really love how someone plays a character, or think they have great idea for plots, or had a really good time with a thread with them, or just think they're a really cool person. Say so!

In the past I have played as Tenth Doctor, Eighth Doctor, James Wood, Lucy Saxon, Topher Brink, and (extremely briefly) Tara Maclay.

I think I'm pretty good at characterisation and picking apart characters (or at least I love doing it). And then torturing them.

Can I just say I really enjoy Johnny and Seth so much! Seth is such a good foil for him, I like how much they have in common and how much they can kinda learn from each other, and it's really REAL to me, how Johnny is super fucked up but as soon as he sees his friend behaving in a similarly fucked up way he's like HANG ON A DAMN MINUTE because ain't we all like that. And Seth does the same for Johnny!

I'm really glad Johnny has him for a friend! That was a totally delightful organic development and it was fun as heck. :)

Also, you're very good at capturing your characters' voices, at least going off the ones whose canons I'm actually familiar with. (So, like... everyone but Seth? SORRY SETH. I'VE ONLY SEEN LIKE FIVE EPS OF MISFITS.) And I admire the way you really delve into their heads.

I like how much thought you put into all of your characters. You do research, you dig into their personal histories, you extrapolate as much as you can to understand them as intensively as possible and it becomes so clear to me that you have a lot of love for the people you play which, yes, translates into torture because that is how it go for us creative types and hey you are also excellent at that! so it all works out!

Seth's relationship with Daniel versus his CR with Rush is such a dichotomous excellent thing and I love it a lot.

I see all the tattoo art and horoscope stuff you post on tumblr about Seth. So on the topic of how deep you go into your characters, I should probably mention that you set my standard for how I write apps -- like a couple years ago I looked at the apps you were writing and decided I had to kick it up a notch. You always know your characters inside and out, and there are a couple characters (Lucy comes to mind) to whom I didn't pay a lot of attention in their canon but whom you really fleshed out in a way that made me care about them.

Also you make great icons and half my characters' accounts would be hideous if it weren't for you.

I mean I've been playing with you for idek - actually I just went and checked and our first thread was 5 and a half years ago so wow - so it should be no secret that I love playing with you, but I'm gonna say it anyway: I really really love playing with you.

Like I still have fond memories of the Nerd Patrol taking on a vampire with a lamp, or hunting down a feral Topher, or god, like any of adventures over a brbG. Particularly with James and Andrew of course. Like, that was one hell of a journey, and I love how well they played off each other, and helped each other grow as people, and how ridiculously adorable they are. Like the main reason I couldn't play James anymore was I just couldn't bear to make them unhappy anymore because they're just so dang cute and I want them to be happy. And then more recently, the adventures with Peter and Lucy hit me especially hard, like gosh that was fun to play out.

And I very sadly haven't gotten to thread much with you recently, which WE NEED TO FIX. Like I especially want to do something with Rashad, cause he's so neat??? Like just such a cool character concept and wonderfully carried out.

Also you are just like... the nicest. What the hell. Like just ridiculously accommodating and patient and awesome. And even when we don't RP together, I love having you as a friend and hearing what you're up to and sharing stuff with you. ♥

Hi I play way too many people Johnny Bee Aziraphale Iman Jay and I have played Gus, Jane Eyre (lol remember that nobody remembers that) and, also briefly, Castor. I also have played a handful of dream party invaders because I generally have a sickness.

I try to be super duper flexible with my characters and my threading to help keep things rolling and I feel like I have done all right with that.

I'm gonna express my love for other folks in the general sense first. I love everyone in this bar! It is a good little gang of folks. I think this is a good safe space and very valuable to me for that reason.

Also! This is a really sweet idea and I dig it. But if anyone finds this practice anxiety inducing or has trouble speaking well of themselves, I'll self-love for you. I totally believe you have great plot ideas because it shows whenever you do. This is a really difficult hobby to maintain, it requires so much energy and effort, which I basically devote my entire days to because no life. It's so clearly important to you and a thing that you dig and are good at, I am glad you're still around even when it becomes difficult. Cause motivation will come back and then you can do the things! For a time! It's a cycle. Life, etc.

Just wanna say again we've only threaded a couple times but they were always enjoyable and I always really dig your style and tone, Ianto's coming-out-of-coma dream particularly jumps to mind as something that was just a fun read. Your post hooks are excellent! It's so hard to write an open to multiple post with a good hook but I see you do it again and again. So you are definitely a valuable presence here okay. → I'm good at character growth/development and I'm the sort who will invest a decent amount of time in the process. I'm also pretty easy to plot with - there isn't much that I'm not willing to give a shot. Oh! I'm also a really good sounding-board for ideas if people have them and aren't sure how to work out specifics, etc. It doesn't always work but inspiration tends to strike more often than not.

I had no idea Johnny was gonna end up being so sweet with her but it's been really rewarding CR, seriously. It just makes me constantly clutch my face in glee.

I agree, it is already quite clear to me that you are invested in character growth and especially with someone as challenging as Lilly that's really impressive to me. YOU DO WRITE THEM WELL and with the perfect amount of dark humor to boot. Your Lucifer is an absolute delight to thread with, and him watching Daniel silently freak out over being an impromptu replacement Sam Winchester is kind of fantastic. Plus like, i know i'm terrible at communication with people but you are also a neat person to talk to whenever I can get off my ass and actually talk to people because you have an excellent sense of humor.

I need to throw more of my people at your trashking basically, because your Lucifer is a grisly terrifying joy.
