Howdy howdy howdy! Carrie here. You can tell by the pretty flower icon at the top of this post and the shoehorned-in Emily Blunt gif at the bottom of it.

Since things have gone a bit quiet, this seems like a good time to regroup and talk about what our assorted characters have been up to, lately. Or what we'd like them to get up to. Or how cute our new chunkhead cat is.

Hello yes I have done nothing and am going nowhere


Asmodia is still kind of settling in, though she's had enough time to figure out how to money and how to more or less human in this world. She sort of helped Jay and Tim...sort of...and that got her confidence up a bit, but she's mostly just been drifting without a lot to do beyond acclimating. She knows she's not strong enough to poke the Rift, but she's got some important stuff to go home to and is on the lookout for indications that someone else might be gearing up to poke it, and/or for opportunities to learn more about how it works.

Peter moved to the penthouse in Gabe's radpad, and presumably that whole stage show thing that's been on the backburner for months is happening?

Rashad has finally found what he wanted: someone to tell him what to do. He's not 100% confident about GLaDOS's leadership yet, but she definitely has the right idea about putting this city in order. So authoritative, too. It's so nice to not have to make his own decisions right now.

Yuri has been on hold since the factions fell and I need to do something about that.

As far as Rift-poking goes, Rush has a sustained interest in thaaaaat but I also know the last time he and Asmodia met THEY DIDN'T GET ALONG SO WELL and also Rush has been stabbed. Granted neither thing will really be much of an obstacle in terms of sciencing since Rush doesn't even care.

Throwing the two of them together again would at least be funny, though I suspect neither one really has enough patience for dealing with the other unless they see a pretty significant benefit. She won't really get the whole sciencing thing from the same perspective he does, but she does know all kinds of crap about various planes of existence. It'd just be expressed in different terms, really.

Yeah hmmm. Unfortunately rift-poking has generated pretty poor results for him in the past so he'll be less eager to do it willy-nilly. Though self-preservation is really quite low on his list of priorities, so there's that.

Maybe if monstrous bullshit starts happening that might make circumstances desperate enough for them to want to collaborate ??? who knows

Monstrous bullshit may be a better angle of attack, though even if they don't get to actual rift-poking they could probably give each other ideas about it. She's probably looking more for collaborators than friends at present anyway because she hasn't figured out yet that she might want to actually try to make this place bearable in the long run instead of worrying about going home.

that's good cause Rush doesn't do friends, mostly just collaborators. He really really tries not to make friends. Operative word being: tries.

Monsters are a good reason to bury a hatchet, however, and their bickering could prove to be a lot of fun. Plus Rush is smart enough to see the value in someone who can do ~magic

We could sort out WTF Yuri is doing with his bear self. XD I'm sure any conversations he and Daine had about that wouldn't be awkward at all.

Also Greta still needs to meet everyone but Rashad, but she's gonna be kinda housebound for a bit. Maybe she can take Lilly to the park to blow off some steam and run into people.

Yesss. I know we talked about backdating his first full moon after the takedown, and either that needs to happen and/or some stuff has to get handwaved to catch him up to the present game date.

Greta does live in the same building as Peter, who will absolutely not be a fan of feral child. She could easily meet the others out in the park, too, though I think with Yuri I'd rather focus on settling his bear issues first.

I think it'd be easy to handwave that Aziraphale did something - that was pretty much the original plan, that he'd interrupt Sunshine and Spike making out and she'd direct him to the resident angel. So we could say they worked something out there. Though ultimately he'd probably do better with Daine, if he could just get over the whole 'you tore my home and livelihood to pieces' thing.

Peter could be rude to Greta. Lilly could bite him.

If we do go ahead and handwave that (since it was so long ago), that sets us up for the next full moon to be coming up in about a week in game-time and for Yuri to be looking for a more permanent solution. I'm up for fiddling with his brain to help him be a better bear, but he and Daine are going to have to hash out the feels at some point.

Peter is that asshole who hits the 'close doors' button on the lift so he doesn't have to ride with Greta and her weird child. Like, every day.

Greta is probably just going to start referring to Peter, mentally and in mixed company, as 'that awful man from upstairs.'

And yuss. Daine could help him be a better bear if they hashed out their shit, they just have to do the hashing.
