Since things have gone a bit quiet, this seems like a good time to regroup and talk about what our assorted characters have been up to, lately. Or what we'd like them to get up to. Or how cute our new chunkhead cat is.

Hey, someone's gotta cover the afternoon shifts at the bake shop. Sunshine could hook him up.

Part-time job for a minor! Totes doable. And - is Spike still at the bookshop? Peeta would then have prime real estate to spy on keep tabs on watch him and Sunshine. Even if not, the shop is definitely a great spot for people (and Riftie) watching.

Exactly! I mean she already thinks of him as her apprentice. It'll be easy to swing. Miriam wants Arlo out of the bakery more, anyway.

And he iiiiis! Peeta can just go over there for chats.

ALSO! Gonna get the ball rolling on that plot idea from way back in the day where Sunshine starts to get all hecked up from not enough sunlight, so Peeta can have a front row seat for that drama.

It's a work-study program for Sunshine's homeschooled and already graduated but still underage apprentice friend guy! Though, y'know, Peeta could technically turn 18 at any time now. Full time employment opportunities are not far away!

Peeta's slick and takes leftover Vampire Fudge to soften Spike up and then just listens while Spike prattles on, learning so much in the process.

Let's be real - when it comes to the ladies in Peeta's life, he seems to always have a front seat to the drams. Good thing he keeps a cool head in crises. :p

Well, the rift activities totally affect non-Rifties, right? Or at least they see some of the things the rift does. So of course they would also talk about those things. And of course there would be some intrepid young reporter who is tenacious in finding the truth about those incidents. And of course that reporter would blog about them and harass interview Rifties about them.
